3,186 tracks played on Last.fm

my top 10 artists at the moment are:

I have been a member of last.fm for a while now, played a load of music, mostly on the (not so) random play provided by my i-Tunes.

I am comfortable with most of the bands in the top 10 but i am not sure that Embrace and Goldfrap deserve their postition! but i am at the behest of the random play feature.

for completeness some other stats:

I do love Last.fm!

No Wonder

interesting article on boingboing today from Xeni on a translator for US forces, sort of reminds me of all sorts of sci-fi stuff and I love the function – ‘there is no pork in this food’ – is it really necessary ?

however the crunch comes a little later in the article when the president of the company that makes the translator says -:

This removes pulling the trigger as the first option in dealing with foreign nationals

this is astounding, surely pulling the trigger should be way down the list of options when dealing with foreign nationals ?

I do not think i need to say any more!

10 days without / 8 days with / 10 days without

OK, so i did not last the full 4 weeks with out, and thanks to Rodcorp and Brulog (who let me go from work)! assorted friends and especially Tyra (Mrs Brulog), I popped over to Zanzibar for a quick holiday with her!

so now all I have to endure is 10 more days without, but with some fantastic memories from Zanzibar …

Nungwi sunset (znz)

one of many shared sunsets!

sub-aqua bear

snorkling

lunchime view

a nice spot for lunch …

many more photos on my Flickr

and many thanks to Bru and Trya for all their help and advice, we stayed in Stone Town for 2 nights then went north to Nungwi beach and stayed there in a little bungalow off the beaten track for 5 nights … Zanzibar is paradise and well worth a visit before it becomes too main stream.
