CDT Comfortable chairs

having found this link polling for favourite chair design on 37 Signals blog I am reminded of many fun days at school with friends in the CDT (Craft Design and Technology) lessons laughing at some of the ‘high design’ stuff we saw in the reference books / magazines.

Our concept / in-joke was to draw bizarre chairs that would be awkward to sit on then call them our ‘CDT Comfortable Chairs’, what is perhaps the real co-incidence is that recently via twitter I have re-connected with a fellow pupil from those very same lessons.

the White Van Man as an Icon

A new initative and website aiming to paint a digital picture of England in the 21st C Icons eventually the resource will be used by teachers in classrooms to help demonstrate our rich cultural herriatige.

One of my images from flickr has been choosen to represent the white van man, so obviously I am quite happy about this and would want anyone to go and vote for it!

Again this year the Brighton Art Fair will be in the Brighton Corn Exchange in late November.

Friends that will be exhibiting there include: Karen Griffiths, Keith McMurray and Maria Tribe who work from Studio 106 in Hove (and Karen spends a little bit of time in Morzine)!

As per the website work shown and sold at the fair is priced between £50 and £1,500 so very affordable.
