commuting in silence?
Why is it that people on the commute in to London travel in oppressive silence ? I had run out of books to read today so I had to notice what was going on around me. The most annoying of British (avoid conversation and human interaction at all costs) tactics is: to pretend to be asleep. The ones who are really asleep are faintly amusing as they drool and snore.
In the end I had to conform and opened the laptop and watched a DVD (I have a, no working on trains rule).
